We are not confined only to the wonderful slow pace of heavy horses. We also break a pace with our light horse, Jasper, who loves nothing more than trotting through the lanes pulling our wooden wagonette. Jasper is also used as a trainer horse because he is patient, well mannered and knows what he is doing.
Jasper is a cross bred horse with the Connemarra breed being the dominant visible breed (with possibly Andalucian being the other part!). It is believed he was bred by Romanies originally before finding his way to us. We are very proud of Jasper, and we trust him with beginners with whom he is very understanding.
Jasper has introduced countless beginners to the world of driving, many of whom have stayed in touch. He is the perfect horse for a novice keen to begin driving carriages.
